Join a Committee
Are you enthusiastic and do you want to do something extra besides your study? Do you want to work on organizing activities for members of FMF? Do you want to meet many new people and cooperate with a group of other students for one year, or who knows even more? Become an active member of one of our committees!
Many of our activities are organized by voluntary work from committee members. Joining a committee is a good opportunity to get to know your fellow students as well as improve your resume. You can find more information about each committee on our committees page.
How much time will I need to spend on committee stuff?
Being a member of most committees requires on average a few hours per week (usually around 1-2 hours), although the actual workload will likely fluctuate throughout the year. There are some factors that influence the time you should invest:
- The committee you are in;
- The type of role you have (Chair, treasurer, etc...);
- How close you are to an event;
- Unpredictable circumstances.
Of course, it is volunteer work, so in general, you can decide on the amount of time you want to dedicate to our community. Also, you are always free to leave the committee whenever you wish (please do inform your committee chair and Board Rep first though).
How do i join?
To join just check yes in the membership form! If you are already a member, you can also send an email or text message to the board.
If you have a question specifically for one of our committees, you can always send them an email or contact a board member.
