The Axioma committee organizes the FMF mathematics symposium. Speakers from throughout the Netherlands come to Groningen to speak about their research, which broadens the horizons of mathematics students. The committee's tasks include contacting speakers, arranging sponsoring, finding a suitable location, and promoting the event. It is a great way to gain experience in organizing a large event and also to get familiar with current research and topics that are not included in the curriculum. And, most importantly, a lot of fun!
