What?

Jelle Nauta, an old FMF (board) member, will tell us something about Quantum Computing and working at TNO.

Quantum computers might (relatively...) soon be used to solve problems that are intractable for classical computers.

In this talk I will explain how gate-based quantum computing works, why it has a fundamental advantage over classical computing, and I will demonstrate a simple algorithm.

I will also briefly talk about how this relates to my work as a cybersecurity researcher at TNO after graduating from the RuG in 2015.
