What?
Do you sometimes experience difficulty explaining physics to your family members? Do you ever get discouraged by that scientific nonsense which is sometimes spouted on TV, and would you like to be able to get people on your side? Or maybe you would like to learn how to tell a good story. In any of these cases, come to the workshop science communication, taught by Diederik Jekel. It will definitely be worth your time, since he will share his anecdotes about being a nerd on TV. Diederik Jekel obtained a masters degree in Solid State Physics at the university of Twente, and is now a science journalist, and chairman of the NNV (the Dutch association for physicists). You might also know him from TV programmes such as 'De Kennis van Nu', or 'Wie is de Mol'. In his own words, if you're a physics student, you can't afford not coming to the workshop, because he will be coming especially for us.
